Rajasthan Post Matric Scholarship 2022, Apply at sje.rajasthan.gov.in

The Rajasthan Social Justice and Empowerment Department released the Rajasthan Post Matric Scholarship 2022 notification on its official web portal, sjmsnew.rajasthan.gov.in/scholarship and the Department invited online applications for the Rajasthan post-matric scholarship 2021 for the academic session 2021-22.

Candidates, who are Rajasthan natives and are coming from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Vimukt, Nomadic and Ardha Ghumantu, Economically Backward Classes can avail the Chief Minister Sarvajan Post Matric Higher Education Scholarship scheme for admissions in government and private recognized educational institutions present inside and outside the state.

Students who are studying in classes 11, 12 up to any postgraduate courses from recognized educational institutions can apply for the post matric scholarship. The Government Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department stated that for availing the post-matric scholarship, candidates are required to fill the online application form and update the recognition of new registration or pre-registration by educational institutions.

List of Rajasthan Post Matric Scholarship Schemes

The following post-matric scholarship schemes are being run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment for the natives of the state of Rajasthan, so that the students studying in post-matriculation classes can get financial assistance.

  • SC Post Matric Scholarship Scheme
  • ST Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 
  • Special Group Post Matric Scholarship Scheme: Special Backward Classes in the East
  • Other Backward Classes Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 
  • Economically Backward Classes Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 
  • Vimukt, Nomadic and Ardwaghumantu Caste Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 
  • Chief Minister Sarvajan Higher Education Scholarship Scheme

Eligibility for Post Matric Scholarship Schemes

Post Matric Scholarship for ST:

  1. The annual income of the parent/guardian of the student should be up to Rs. 2.50 lakh.
  2. The student should be studying regularly in a government/recognized educational institution under a recognized course.
  3. The student should be of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe.
  4. The student should be a native of Rajasthan.

Dr. Ambedkar Economic Backward Classes Post Matric Scholarship Scheme:

  1. The annual income of the parent/guardian of the student should be up to Rs. 1,00 lakh.
  2. The student should be studying regularly in a government educational institution under a recognized course.
  3. The student should belong to the Economically Backward Classes (except Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Special Backward Classes) in the general category.
  4. The student should be a native of Rajasthan.

Dr. Ambedkar Vimukt, Nomadic and Ardh. Nomadic (DNTs) Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

1. The annual income of the parent/guardian of the student should be less than Rs.2.00 lakh.
2. The student should be studying regularly in a government/recognized educational institution under a recognized course.
3. The student should belong to the above category (except the castes included in the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes).
4. The student should be a native of Rajasthan.

Post Matric Scholarship for OBC

  • The annual income of the parent/guardian of the student should be up to Rs.1.00 lakh.
  • The student should be studying regularly in a government/recognized educational institution under a recognized course.
  • The girl student should be from Other Backward Classes.
  • The student should be a native of Rajasthan.

The students should belong to 17 categories of Other Backward Classes as determined by the Department: The categories prescribed by the department from 01 to 17 in the Other Backward Classes Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

  3. Daughter of Antyodaya Card Holder
  4. Son of Antyodaya Card Holder
  5. State BPL Card holder’s daughter

  11. Widow’s son
  12. Divorced woman herself

Post Matric Scholarship for SC

  • The annual income of the parent/guardian of the student should be up to Rs. 2.50 lakh.
  • The student should be studying regularly in a government/recognized educational institution under a recognized course.
  • The student should be of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe.
  • The student should be a native of Rajasthan.

  6. Mark Sheet of Last Passed Examination

Note: Information about the caste and other details of the student is taken on the scholarship portal through Bhamashah portal.

How to apply for Rajasthan Post Matric Scholarship 2021

  • Go to the official website of the Rajasthan Social Justice and Empowerment Department, https://sjmsnew.rajasthan.gov.in/scholarship/
  • On the homepage, click on the  CM Sarvajan Post Matric Higher Education Scholarship link
  • Register using required details
  • Fill in the form with the required details
  • Upload documents. Save and download the application form for further use
  • The last date to fill the online application form is November 30 at the official website .

The government suggested that the concerned students and parents should first thoroughly study the guidelines, rules, and documents attached or linked to the scholarship schemes before they fill in the application form. Govt informed that colleges that have not registered or updated on the portal for approval of recognition or affiliation, the course conducted for the academic session 2021-22 in the concerned university, will not be displayed to the students on the scholarship portal.

It was also brought to notice that students studying in colleges, which come under the department, will not be able to apply online. The responsibility of such students has been bestowed upon the college, where they are currently studying. Interested candidates can check out all the rules and guidelines, related to the scholarship scheme, on the official website of the department, www.sje.rajasthan.gov.in.
