Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the APPSC Civil Assistant Surgeon Recruitment 2023 or APPSC CAS Recruitment 2023 notification on its official website, psc.gov.in. Applications are invited online from qualified candidates to the post of Civil Assistant Surgeons in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
Applications are invited through online from eligible candidates for the post of Civil Assistant Surgeon in A.P. Insurance Medical Services for a total of 07 CF vacancies in the scale of pay of Rs. 61,960- 1,51,370/- as per RPS -2022 from candidates within the age group of 18 to 42 years as on 01.07.2022.
The candidate shall apply online through Commission’s Website https://psc.ap.gov.in The application can be submitted from 27/10/2022 to 16/11/2022 (Note: 15/11/2022 is the last date for payment of fee upto 11:59 mid night). The applicant who desires to apply for the above post shall login the Commission’s Website, with his/her registered OTPR number.
In case the candidate is applying for the first time to the post notified by A.P.P.S.C. he/she shall register his/her bio-data particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission’s Website. Once applicant registers his/her particulars, a user ID is generated and sent to his/her registered mobile number and email ID.

The selection to the post shall be on the basis of Written Examination in Computer Based Recruitment Test mode conducted by the Commission. The Dates of Written Examination will be announced separately. The candidates are required to visit the Commission’s website regularly to keep themselves updated about dates of written examinations are to be held. The examination would be in objective type and questions are to be answered on computer system.
The online application will be available on the Commission’s website (www.psc.ap.gov.in )from October 4 to November 3 which will be the last date for payment of fee up- to 11:59 midnight. Before applying for the Civil Assistant Surgeons (Specialists) posts, an applicant will have to register his/her bio-data particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission’s Website viz., www.psc.ap.gov.in.
Once an applicant registers his/her particulars, a User ID is generated and sent to his/her registered mobile number and email ID. Applicants need to apply for the post using the OTPR User ID through the Commission’s website.
APPSC Civil Assistant Surgeon Hall ticket: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) will release hall ticket for attending the main examination for the posts of Civil Asst Surgeon. Candidates who have applied for these posts can download their hall ticket from the official website.
Qualifications: i) Must Possess an M.B.B.S. Degree or an equivalent qualification as entered in the schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 as subsequently amended. ii) Must be a permanent Registered Medical Practitioner within the meaning of the Law for the time being existing in the State.
Age limit: Candidates’ age limit should have a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 42 years.
Selection procedure: Appointment to the posts will be made by examination (objective type) by Online/ OMR based. In case of screening test is conducted as referred above, based on the Merit in the screening test, candidates will be picked up in the ratio of 50 per one notified post for the main examination in order of General Merit.
In case where no screening test is held, all the eligible applicants would be allowed to appear for the main examination. The final selection of candidates for appointment to the posts shall be based on the merit in the computer-based main Examination, be held as per the scheme of examination enunciated at para 7 in the notification.
Application fee and Exam fee: Applicant must pay Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty Only) towards application processing fee and Rs 80/- (Rupees Eighty only) towards Examination Fee.
Mode of Payment of Fee: The Fee mentioned in the above paragraph is to be paid through Payment Gateway or Net Banking/ Credit card /Debit Card. The list of Banks providing service for the purpose of online remittance of Fees will be appended separately.
The APPSC will conduct Screening Test in Off-Line mode in case applicants exceed 25,000 in number and Main Examination in Online-mode for candidates selected in the screening tests. If the screening test is to be held in this Civil Assistant Surgeons (Specialists) recruitment, the date of the screening test will be communicated through the Commission’s Website.
The Main Examination of Civil Assistant Surgeons (Specialists) is likely to be held On-Line through the computer-based test on December 4 and 5 this year. There would be objective type questions that are to be answered on the computer system.
A general Mock Test facility for Civil Assistant Surgeons (Specialists) recruitment is available would be provided to the applicants to acquaint themselves with the computer-based recruitment test.
The applicant can visit the website and practice the answering pattern under the MOCK TEST option available on the main page of the website www.psc.ap.gov.in.
How to apply: Before applying for the post, an applicant shall register his/her bio-data particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission Website viz., www.psc.ap.gov.in. Once an applicant registers his/her particulars, a User ID is generated and sent to his/her registered mobile number and email ID. How to upload the application form: i) The Applicants have to read the User manual for On-Line submission of application and then proceed further. User manual is available at www.psc.ap.gov.in
I STEP: The applicant has to fill the OTPR application to obtain ID Number. While filling the same, the candidates have to ensure that there are no mistakes in it. The Commission bears no responsibility for the mistakes, if any, made by the candidates.
II STEP: The applicant has to fill and submit Application and Click on the Link with Notification Number and Name, OTPR ID Number and Date of Birth to proceed further. The applicant has to verify the details as obtained from the OTPR database displayed on the screen.
If any details are to be changed, the applicant should go back to the website and use the Modify OTPR link. In addition to the details obtained from the OTPR database, Notification specific details such as Examination City opted, eligibility and accepting declarations, etc. are to be filled by the applicant. (Preview and Edit facility is available to make changes) and SUBMIT the application form.
An Application Fee ID is generated and sent through the SMS/email after the successful submission of the application form, which is to be used for payment of Fee.
III STEP:- Once the Application Fee ID is generated, select the payment of Fee option for paying through either Net banking / Credit Card / Debit Card.
IV STEP:-After payment of fee, the PDF Application will be generated which contains the particulars furnished by the applicant. The Application Fee ID No in the PDF Application form has to be quoted for future reference/ correspondence.
The applicant shall note that the details available with the OTPR database at the time of submitting the application will be considered for the purpose of this notification. If, any changes are made by the applicant to the OTPR database at a later date will not be considered for the purpose of this Notification. Handwritten/ Typed/ Photostat copies/ outside the printed Application Form will not be accepted and liable for rejection.
The Commission conducts a Screening Test in Offline mode in case applicants exceed 25,000 in number and main examination in Online mode for candidates selected in screening tests. If the screening test is to be held, the date of screening test will be communicated through Commission’s Website.
HALL TICKETS: Hall tickets can be downloaded 7 days before commencement of Examination. Hall tickets for Civil Assistant Surgeons (Specialists) would be available to download whenever the Commission uploaded them to its website. Intimation would be given through the website regarding downloading of Hall Tickets. –
