The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the exam dates for the Common University Entrance Test UG (CUET UG) on its official website, https://cuetug.ntaonline.in/.

Candidates who have registered for the UG entrance examination can check the CUET UG Exam Date 2025 details and download the exam schedule from the official website.

Nearly 10 lakh students have applied for the CUET making it one of the biggest exams in India, second only to NEET 2025.

A total of 44 central universities, 12 state universities, 11 deemed universities, and 19 private universities have applied for participating in the first edition of CUET for UG admissions to the 2025 academic session.

The CUET score will be used for admission to all central universities including Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Jawaharlal Nehru University, Aligarh Muslim University, among others.

It can also be used for admission to private and deemed to be universities. Many top colleges including Jamia Hamdard, TISS have shown interest in enrolling students through CUET.

CUET UG Exam Syllabus

The complete syllabus of the CUET UG exam is based on the 12th board exam syllabus. It is based on the topics and chapters provided in the Class 12 syllabus.

One of the best ways to prepare for the exam is with NCERT books. The questions are often framed from these books only.

NTA will be conducting the CUET UG for admission to Undergraduate courses in various participating colleges. NTA launched the CUET exam the last year for UG and PG admissions.

Students who qualify for Class 12th will be required to register for CUET UG and appear for the exam as per their subjects.

Various educational institutes including central universities like Delhi University grant admission to various UG courses based on CUET scores.

Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) phase 2 exam will conduct in August 2025. The second phase of CUET UG will organize for students who have opted for Physics, Chemistry, or Biology subjects.

The CUET UG exam paper will consist of 140 objective-type questions. The entrance exam is offered in 13 languages i.e., Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the CUET exam. This is the first time that there will be a common entrance exam for admission to colleges across India. 

The 3:15 hours long exam will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 9 am to 12:15 while the other from 3 PM to 6:45 PM.

This is the first time that CUET will be conducted and it will be held for over 300 undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The CUCET-UG exam will comprise two parts -Part A will have 25 multiple choice questions from English, Numerical Aptitude/ Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, and General Awareness, while Part B will have 75 questions from subject-specific topics.

The medium of question papers for all the examinations shall be English other than the language course and the exam duration will be 2 hours.

Each question would carry four marks for the correct answers while there will be a deduction of one mark for every wrong answer.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities.

A single examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.

How to chek CUET UG Time Table?

  • Candidates need to visit the official website, https://cuetug.ntaonline.in/.
  • Once you reach the website, click on the CUET UG link on the home page.
  • Then, CUET UG website (https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/) will be appeared.
  • Select the CUET UG time table (Schedule/ Datesheet) link that is available on the homepage.
  • A PDF file containing the exam timetable will be available on the screen.
  • Download and save it.
  •  Print a copy for future use.

Over 250 universities, including central, state, private, and deemed institutions, will accept candidates based on their performance in the CUET UG examination. To be eligible to participate in the CUET UG, candidates must have completed class 12 or equivalent.

CUET UG Exam Pattern

The CUET exam paper will be divided into three sections. The examination will be held in two slots and the candidates may take a maximum of nine test subjects.
