Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has given the JAM 2025 notification on its official website, jam.iitg.ac.in.
The IIT Bombay has started its registration process for the Joint Admission Test for Masters, JAM 2025, at its official website. Candidates can check the details and complete the registration as per the schedule.
The Candidates qualified for the JAM Exam will be eligible to apply for admission to various master’s programs offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) located across the country.

Students who have qualified for the IIT JAM exam (Joint Admission Test for Masters Exam) can register themselves online on official websites.

Students who have qualified for the JAM 2025 and have scored above the cut-off marks will be able to apply for the master’s admission to MSc (Two Year), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, and other Post-Bachelor’s Degree programs at the IITs and to the Integrated PhD programs at IISc.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, will conduct the JAM 2025 Examinations. According to the schedule made public, the IIT JAM exams will be administered on February 15.
The application procedure for IIT JAM will start at IIT Bombay on September 5. Students can visit the official JOAPS portal to complete the online application for students interested in applying to the various IITs for M.Sc. admissions.
Exams for seven topics, including Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematics, and Physics, will be given at the IIT JAM in the computer-based mode.
Multiple Choice, Multiple Select, and Numerical Answer Type questions will all be used in the tests. The JAM Scores will be taken into account for admissions to around 30 institutes, including IITs, NITs, IISc, DIAT, IIEST, IISER, IIPE, JNCASR, SLIET, and others, with a total of over 2300 seats.
Eligibility criteria to apply: Candidates who have qualified for the examination can apply for provisional admission to MSc (Two Years), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, and other Post-Bachelor’s Degree programs at the IITs and to the Integrated PhD programs at IISc by filling up the admission forms while mentioning their choice of institution and programs.

- On the home page, click on the link “JAM Registration”,
- The admission portal is open.
- On the next window, key in the enrollment ID or email ID and passwords
- click on the Submit button
- Fill out the application form with the required details
- After submission of the application form, download it for future reference
Candidates seeking admission to a master’s program at the Indian Institute of Science, Banglore, through JAM should have a bachelor’s degree.
In the qualifying degree, the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) should be at least 55 percent or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS category candidates and 50 percent or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates.
As part of the registration process for admission to the master’s programme, the JAM qualifying candidates must mention their choice of institution and programmes.
Based on the choices filled, considering the number of seats available in different institutions and several other factors, IISc Bangalore will release three JAM admission lists to allocate the seats to the candidates in various participating institutions.
Candidates must submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner at the time of admission. Admitted candidates will also have to undergo a physical fitness test at the time of admission.
A medical board constituted by the institute will organize the fitness test. If candidates are not found physically fit to pursue their chosen course, their admission will be cancelled. Those who complete the counselling process will be called for admission to the concerned institutes.
The paper will consist of objective-type questions in the following pattern. The exams will be conducted for 3 hours, and students will be required to answer multiple-choice questions.

IIT Bombay is the competent body to conduct the JAM examination for admission to the academic year 2025-2026. JAM is held at 21 IITs and IISc Bangalore for admission to MSc, joint PhD, and other programs. The test will be held for 3,000 direct admission spots in different postgraduate programs at IITs.
