The online registration process of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2023 has to be begun soon. The IIT Kharagpur has released the application cum registration forms for IIT entrance exam – JEE Advanced. Forms are available at jeeadv.ac.in only for foreign nationals. This year, the exam is being held by IIT Kharagpur.
Just like Indian students, foreign nationals who registered for JEE Advanced 2023 but could not appear will be eligible to appear for the exam this year. This year, however, there will not be any exam centre in foreign countries for JEE Advanced.
Students staying outside of India will have to come to India at their own expense to take the exam. The registration process for foreign nationals from September 6 while for Indian students the same will begin from September 11.
The last date to submit online application is September 22 and the fee can be paid till September 22. JEE ADVANCED FEE, Candidates from SAARC countries will have to pay Rs 5600 or USD75 while those from non-SAARC countries will have to pay Rs 11200 or USD150.
Union Education Minister will announce the eligibility criteria for admission into IITs and the date of JEE Advanced 2023. According to the new brochure, the online registration process for JEE Advanced will begin as per the schedule.
JEE Mains 2023 will be held in March, April and May months for which the result will be declared after conduct of examinations. Candidates who clear JEE Mains will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced. All the JEE Main 2023 candidates can apply through the prescribed format on the official website, the link for which is jeeadv.ac.in .
JEE Advanced 2023 admit card will be released in June last week and candidates will be able to download it till October 3 , 2023. The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2023 will be conducted by the seven Zonal Coordinating (ZC) IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2023.

The registration process for the IIT entrance exam i.e., JEE Advanced have begun from August 1. In the initial phase, only candidates who are applying from foreign nations are allowed to register. For Indian students, the application cum registration process will begin shortly after JEE Main results at jeeadv.ac.in.
JEE Main which is the first leg for the JEE Advanced for Indian students, is not a requirement for foreign nationals. Foreign national candidates who have studied or are studying abroad at 10+2 level or equivalent at the time of registration for JEE Advanced, are not required to write JEE Main 2023 and may register for JEE Advanced 2023 directly if they fulfill other eligibility criteria, as per rules.
Other eligibility requirements include age. Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1997. Five years of age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates. These candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1992, as per rules. As many as 10 per cent of the seats are reserved for foreign nationals across IITs. These seats are supernumerary in number, implying that they are in addition to the existing seats.
Even though the application process for JEE Advanced has begun, the IITs will not be setting up any campuses abroad. The foreign national candidates, however, may appear for JEE Advanced examination at an Indian centre at their own expense. JEE Advanced is scheduled to be held on the above said date
The exam will be held in two papers both of which will be mandatory. Paper 1 will be from 9 am to noon and paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 3 PM. The exam date and timing are the same for Indian and foreign students.
Those who clear JEE Advanced can pursue several courses across IITs including BTech, integrated masters, and bachelor-master dual degree. In some of the IITs, students enrolled in the four-year bachelor’s program have the option to pursue BTech (Honors) and/or BTech with minors. Dual Degree students may also pursue a minor.
The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs. The decisions of the JAB 2023 will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) 2023 and admission to IITs.

JEE Advanced 2023: Indian Institute of Kharagpur (IIT-K) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced) for 2023 for admissions in all the 23 IITs. The National Testing Agency (NTA) organises JEE (Main) while one of the IITs organises JEE (Advanced) under the guidance of IIT JAB. The Board has decided to shortlist 2.5 lakh students including all categories from JEE (Main) 2023 to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2023.
Eligibility criteria: Students who are to appear for JEE Advanced 2023 must fulfil all the eligibility criteria as mandated by the Joint Admission Board. As practiced earlier, all candidates to appear required a minimum of 75% in class 12 and were to qualify JEE Main. The qualifying percentage criteria this year has been eliminated as announced by HRD Minister.
Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1995, to be eligible for JEE Advanced. There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST and OBC candidates. All the candidates appearing in JEE Advanced must not have taken admission in any IITs irrespective of the fact that they either continued or left the program or had earlier accepted the seat too.
The candidates must have also secured the minimum cutoff declared by NTA in JEE Main to appear for JEE Advanced. They must also be in the list of top 2,50,000 candidates of JEE Main 2023. For categorizing the top 250,000 candidates, 10% Gen-EWS seats, 27% OBC-NCL seats, 15% SC seats, 7.5% ST seats and 40.5% open seats with additional 5% horizontal reservation for PwD are considered in the order of merit.

JEE Advanced 2023 Application fee: Female candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD category: Rs.1,300 Other candidates: Rs.2,600. Note: Candidates can pay their application fee through Credit card/ Debit card/ Internet banking/ E-banking and also e-challan.

While for Indian students, the top 2.5 lakh students, who have appeared for the JEE Mains can apply for the JEE Advanced exams, in case of foreign candidates, they can register for JEE (Advanced) 2023 directly. However, those foreign national candidates, who have studied or are studying in India at class 12 or equivalent must appear for the JEE (Main) 2023 to qualify for JEE (Advanced) 2023.
This year, apart from the candidates qualifying JEE Main 2023, those who were eligible to appear for JEE Advanced in 2020 but were absent for the exam, will be given a chance to appear for the entrance test. Those candidates need not clear JEE Main again this year, their last year marks will be considered for JEE Advanced 2023.
