National Board Of Examinations In Medical Sciences has released the NEET PG 2023 notification on its official website, nbe.edu.in. NEET PG means National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate and it is a Medical Entrance Test for admission to MD/MS, PG diploma courses and admission to Post MBBS DNB and NBEMS Diploma Courses.
NEET PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses. The NBEMS has announced the provisional schedule for the forthcoming computer-based-tests including National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG 2023), NEET MDS 2023, Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE 2023), DNB Post Diploma Centralised Entrance Test (DNB PDCET 2023).
No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses. Qualifying NEET-PG is mandatory for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country. NEETPG is mandatory even for foreign nationals seeking admission in medical courses in India.

How To Apply for NEET PG 2023?
Candidates can register for NEET-PG through an online portal. Candidates can choose the exam center and date through the online registration system on a first come first serve basis. Admit card will be sent to the candidates on their registered email ID after successful completion of online registration and payment of fees.

Scope of NEET PG 2023:
NEET PG 2023 shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses’ for the academic session 2023 which will include the following:
- All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Telangana)
- State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Telangana)
- MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country
- MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
- DNB Broad specialty courses (January 2023 Admission Session)
Eligibility Criteria for NEET PG 2023:
Candidates in possession of MBBS degree/Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate from a Medical College/Institute duly recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act, possessing either a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS or equivalent qualification issued by the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the same on or before 31tt March 2023 may apply for NEET-PG through online application system at www.nbe.edu.in
NEET PG Exam Details
NEET PG 2023 will be held on a single day in a single session. The MCQ based examination will be conducted in computer-based mode. - The examination shall be a multiple choice questions exam delivered on a computer-based platform (CBT).
- The exam comprises of 300 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted is 3hr. 30 min. The weightage of MCQs in each specialty is indicative and purely provisional. NBE reserves its right to alter/vary/amend the same.
