The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released NEET SS 2025 notification on its official web portal. The Board is all set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Super Specialty exam 2025 in the month of September.
The online application submission has been started in August. The last date for final edit to rectify application will close on October 04. The NEET SS admit cards 2025 will be released in September.
The students who want to take admission to DM, MCh and DNB Super Specialty Courses should apply for the NEET SS examinations 2025.
The online application for the same can be submitted online on the official website of the NBE – nbe.edu.in.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates who wish to apply must meet the eligibility criteria before filling out the NEET SS application form. Interested candidates must have a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or any equivalent examination.
The exam will also be open to applicants who will complete their graduate degree on or before September 15, 2025. The application form will not be accepted from those without a degree.
Provisional or permanent registration certificates issued by the State Medical Council (SMC) or National medical commission (NMC) will also be required at the time of examination.
Exam pattern
A candidate can choose a maximum of two super specialty courses for which his/her broad specialty qualification is eligible.
The exam will consist of 40 per cent questions from all eligible specialty courses and 60 per cent of questions will be from super specialty courses.
The total number of questions in each question paper shall be 100 which shall be divided into two parts. All the questions shall be at PG Exit level.
Each super specialty course will be a different exam in MCQ format. A correct answer will be of four marks and one mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.
The exam consists of 40 per cent questions from all speciality courses and 60 per cent questions from super speciality courses. For more details, please visit the official website.
A demo test would also be conducted on the official website on September 1, 2020. The exam is to be held in a computer-based test format.
Those who clear the exam would also have to clear the medical fitness test which has been set by the respective medical institutes. Check the details on the official website of NBE.
How to apply for NEET SS 2025?
NBE has begun the application for the NEET Super Specialty exam 2025. Those who wish to appear can apply for the exam on the official website nbe.edu.in.

- Click on application link, fill in the details as asked in the form
- Upload supporting documents like – scanned image of signature, photo of candidate, certificates
- Next, make the application fee payment
- Submit the application form and take a print out of the final application form for future reference
NEET SS is conducted for the admission of candidates to various DM, MCh, and other super specialty courses. However, candidates should note that medical institutes such as AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS, Bangalore are not covered under NEET SS 2025 admission process.
