AP Half day School Timings 2025, Time Table, Periods in Andhra Pradesh

AP Schools in the Andhra Pradesh state will be run only half-day from April 3rd. The government, municipal, aided, and privately owned schools will run Half-Day Schools under the academic calendar for 2024-25.

Classes from the 1st to 10th will be run from 7.45 AM to 12.30 Noon. AP Schools have summer holidays starting April 24th. The schools in the AP state will be conducting half-day schools from 15-03-2025 of this month (May Be!).

Prayer time is from 7.50 AM to 8.00 AM, and classes will be held from 7.45 AM to 12.30 Noon. Half-day schools may continue until April 23. According to the Academic Calendar, summer holidays may be from April 24 to June 12.

The school education department ordered the schools to work on the second Saturday of April. In the wake of the sun’s intensification, drinking water should be provided in every school.

Donors and volunteers coordinated the distribution of buttermilk during lunch. There is no special break for lunch. Lunch will be served to the students after the classes are over.

Every year, CSE AP will give Certain Instructions for conducting Half-Day Schools during March and April. A.P., Amaravati has hereby declared half-day schools from March 15th up to the last working day of the academic year as per the School Academic Calendar to all Government Management Schools, i.e., Government MP, ZP, MO. Aided Schools in the Male as a yearly tradition.

All schools in Andhra Pradesh will conduct half day classes from 15-03-2025 in keeping with the annual practice during the summer. The classes will start from 7.45 AM to 12.30 PM for Class 1 to Class 9 students until the last working day on April 30.

However, schools hosting SSC examination centres will not conduct classes on exam days. These schools shall conduct compensatory classes for six days on the available public holidays. The compensatory classes will also follow half day schedule.

Second Saturday in April will be a working day for schools this year. Considering the scorching summer days during which children would attend schools to supply adequate drinking water with the support of the gram panchayats and RWS department.

Avoid classes in open areas or under the trees, and stock up on oral rehydration solution (ORS) sachets in every school for use in the event of a sunstroke. Provide butter milk along with mid-day meals, with the latter supplied at the end of classes.

CSE AP Instructions on AP Half day Schools during summer 2025

CSE AP Instructions on AP Half day Schools: As per the School Academic Calendar, Half Day Schools would be started from 15-03-2025 (may be!) in all AP Schools in every academic year. But, the summer season has sent in early, As a result, the School going students are suffering a lot due to prickly heat.

In order to ensure the health and safety of students, teachers, etc., Half-Day Schools started on 15-03-2025 (maybe!) in AP Schools. In continuation, the Commissioner of School Education, AP, has given certain instructions on half-day Schools during summer.

In continuation of the orders issued in the reference 1 to 4th read above and in view of the severe heat conditions in the State the following instructions are issued to all the Regional Joint Director of School Education and the District Educational Officers in the State.

  1. Strictly implement the timings prescribed during the half-day schools
  2. Adequate drinking water should be provided in all the schools. Coordinate with Gram Panchayat & RWS Department wherever and whenever required and ensure the same.
  3. Classes shall not be conducted in the open areas / under the trees etc., under any circumstances.
  4. Keep some Oral rehydration Solution (ORS) sachets handy in every school for Students and Teachers who are suffering from Sun/ Heat Stroke.
  5. Provide buttermilk during Mid Day Meals in coordination with local community/ Voluntary organisations.
  6. Monitor the above measures closely with Headmasters, Inspecting Officers, and other officials and see that all precautions are Taken to avoid any hardship to the Students/ Teachers.
