SV Veterinary University MFSc Entrance Test, Sri Venkateshwara Veterinary University Tirupati has given MFSc admission 2019 notification for the Academic year 2019-2016. Applications from eligible candidates are invited for admission into the M.F.Sc course in Fishery Sciences for the academic year 2019-2016.
For the M.F.Sc course, candidates belonging to the state of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana who fulfill the residential requirements of A.P. Educational Institutions Order 1974 (Presidential Order) only are eligible to seek admission.
Qualification for admission:
Candidates seeking admission into the Master’s Degree course must have passed the relevant Bachelor’s Degree examination i.e. B.F.Sc from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University /ANGR Agricultural University or an institution accredited by ICAR.
M.F.Sc Course: Qualification-B.F.Sc of 4 years duration
In the above qualifying examination, the candidates must have secured minimum OGPA of 6.00/10.00 for general category (for SC/ST/PH-5.00/10.00) or 2.50/4.00 for general category (2.00/4.00 in case of SC/ST/PH ) or 60% marks in traditional system (for SC/ST/PH-55%). Only residents of AP /Telangana are eligible for admission except in the case of ICAR Quota.
Candidates with PG qualification are eligible for admission into the second PG program but such candidates are not eligible for a stipend. Candidates who are already prosecuting MFSc are eligible to apply for PG admission in another discipline. But stipend paid with interest will be recovered and his/her earlier admission shall stand canceled irrespective of the stage of standing. However such candidates are eligible for a stipend in a fresh course.
Age limit: The upper age limit is 40 years as on 01-07-2019
Selection Procedure:
i) M.F.Sc: The selection of the candidates shall be based on the previous academic record (B.F.Sc– 30%, Intermediate 10+2-10%, 10th Class-5%, and achievements in extracurricular activities 5% and performance in Entrance test 50% ).
SV Veterinary University MFSc Entrance Test:
The entrance test shall be comprehensive, covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the degree requirements of this University as per ICAR guidelines. The Entrance Examination paper contains only 200 multiple-choice questions. The candidates have to mark answers by darkening circles on the OMR sheet.
The candidates getting 40% or more marks in the entrance test only are eligible for admission. However, in the case of SC/ST/PH candidates, there are no minimum qualifying marks and candidates are admitted to the extent of seats reserved for them. SC/ST/PH candidates claiming seats under the general category have to obtain at least 40% marks in the entrance test.
ii) Weightage, as indicated below, will be given subject to a maximum of 5 marks on the production of certificates for achievement (Prizes/Medals) in NCC/NSS/Sports/Games/Cultural/Literary activities at B.F.Sc Programme :
International Level – 3marks, National Level – 2 marks, Inter-University Level-1mark In case of NCC candidates ‘B’ certificate holders are given 1 mark & ‘C’ certificate holders are given 2 marks. In case of ‘C’ certificate holders benefit is given only for ‘C’ certificate Note: In case of a tie, marks obtained in the entrance test shall be considered for tie-breaking. For further tie-breaking date of birth shall be considered and the elder candidate shall be preferred.
iii) The candidates applying for admission should appear for the Entrance Test at their own expenses.SV Veterinary University MFSc Entrance Test.
