These worksheets were prepared for readiness to continue the education of school-going children. SCERT Telangana has developed worksheets for students of classes 2 to 10. Level one 2nd Class Worksheets as remedial material based on the previous year syllabus for the month of June and Level two Class 2 Worksheets on current year’s syllabus for the month of July.

In order to keep children engaged and ensure academic connect, SCERT Telangana developed 2nd Class worksheets for all subjects and these were uploaded on TS SCERT website for use by the 2nd class students under the guidance of teachers at school and parents at home.
2nd class worksheets have been developed for two levels, Level one class 2 worksheets were prepared based on the Learning Outcomes of 1st class. The first two weeks of Worksheets shall cover the concepts of lower classes, to bridge the gap of previous class and to facilitate smooth transition to the content of next higher class.
Level two class 2 worksheets are based on the Learning Outcomes of the new 2nd class. They shall be made available from third / fourth week. The general design of the 2nd class worksheets of Level 2 cover subject-wise content mapped to the Learning Outcomes and competencies to be attained by the students.
The 2nd class textbooks are distributed by the Department to all the children and SCERT has uploaded textbooks of 2nd class and subjects on its website for easy access by the students and teachers. 2nd class worksheets have been developed for 4 weeks which can be used upto 6 weeks depending on the learning levels of the children. They may be utilized and further work sheets may be prepared by teachers as per the need.

How to Download TS 2nd class Worksheets?
State council of Educational Research and Training Telangana has uploaded the Level 1 and Level 2 subject wise and medium wise Class 2 worksheets in PDF format for downloading purpose. Students, Parents and Teachers may download the TS SCERT 2nd Class Worksheets from the official website of SCERT Telangana for practice by following these steps as below.
- Visit the https://scert.telangana.gov.in Website
Candidates need to visit the official website of State council of Educational Research and Training Telangana, https://scert.telangana.gov.in/ in your device web browser.
- Click on Worksheets Link
Once you reach the TS SCERT website, click on the worksheets link on the home page for further chapters. For Level 1 worksheets, go through the Publications >> Our books >> Worksheets 2020-21.
- Go to Index Page
After clicking on that link, A Flip book will be opened with Left and Right arrow buttons to change pages as you want. Now go the Index page by changing the pages.
- Click on Class 2 Worksheets
Once you reach the Index page, click on the Class 2 worksheets on the class wise Worksheets List.
- Download Subject wise Class 2 worksheets
Now, click on the Class 2 worksheets in this index page. Then, Subject wise 2nd class Worksheets downloading page will be opened. Now, Just Click on the Subject which you want to Download on web page. Finally Particular 2nd class Subject worksheet PDF file will be opened to download to your device.
“Practice makes the man perfect”. Concepts discussed in the textbook is not sufficient to understand the point in a detailed manner. Some additional practices are also required to understand the context in the fullest extent. Workbooks are introducing to provide space to practice skills which were learnt in the textbook.
Each lesson in the textbook ends with an activity names ‘Improve your learning’. This is not for testing what the student has learnt. This is an extension of the lessons. The questions given in this section help the students to apply their knowledge in new situations. These questions are thought provoking, analytical and open ended in nature.
Teacher has to write question on the board and discuss with children about the answer and ask them to write answer in the space provided in the workbook by their own. Teacher may support wherever necessary. Introduction: Workbook usually covers important concepts and tasks related to syllabus. Workbooks are used for doing extra activities and concepts that the students have already studied from the textbook.
Workbook consists of, 1. drawing diagram (dotted, using out lines). 2. colouring the diagrams. 3. filling up the data tables with relevant information. 4. classification, matching of different items/ organisms etc. 5. fill in the blanks. 6. filling scrap pages. 7. blank project proformas for use with subheadings.
8. multiple choice questions. 9. glossary (of different words) and their usage. 10. answer the following questions in 2 to 3 sentences. 11. welcome sheet. 12. puzzle – Checkers (grid) cross words puzzles. 13. read clue, arrange the letters & write the appropriate word in the space given. e.g. I am usually green EAFL = LEAF 14. project work. 15. mind mapping. 16. information collection. 17. flow charts. 18. true of false. 19. questions relavant to content and space to answer them.
