NEET UG Scorecard and Merit List
The NEET UG Result is presented as a scorecard. The scorecard contains essential information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, subject-wise marks obtained, total marks, and percentile score.
Along with the scorecard, the merit list, which ranks candidates based on their examination performance, is also released. The merit list is used for the counseling and admission process.
Admissions are available for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSC, and AH courses based on NEET UG 2025 results. The entrance test was conducted according to the following prescribed guidelines and rules. Students can find out the results through the NEET UG website.
According to the agency’s official brochure, the result will be declared soon on its website. Candidates who have appeared for the NEET 2025 exam can check their results on the agency’s official site at nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can also check their ranks.
The NTA conducted the NEET (UG) 2025 at various test centres across the nation. The NTA’s responsibility is limited to conducting the entrance examination, declaring the result, providing an “All India Rank merit list” to the Directorate General Health Service, Government of India, conducting counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats, and supplying the result to states/other counselling authorities.
All the candidates qualifying for NEET (UG) 2025 would be eligible for All India Quota and other quotas under the State Governments/Institutes, irrespective of the medium of the examination, subject to other eligibility criteria.
NEET 2025 was conducted in pen-and-paper mode and in 8 regional languages, in addition to English, Hindi, and Urdu. CBSE declared NEET Results 2025 on June 4 on the official website.
NEET 2025 Result Important things:
NTA will release the scores of the candidates who appeared for the NEET UG 2025 examination. The cumulative scorecard will be available on the login portal on ntaneet.nic., which will be activated once results are released.
NTA will also release the All India Merit List or All India Ranks. Candidates will be able to check their AIR Rank in their score card. If a candidate has opted out of the All India Rank list, his/her rank will not be provided.
NTA would also prepare a state-wise merit list, which would be shared with the respective agencies of the state, which would then release the state-wise merit lists in accordance with the counselling.
NTA will not conduct the NEET 2025 counselling. The counseling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses will be conducted by MCC or the Medical Counselling Committee. The schedule will be released on the official website, MCC.nic.in.
Qualifying NEET 2025 does not guarantee admission to a medical college in the country. Students have to register for counseling and present themselves along with the requisite documentation to be allotted a seat as per availability.
NTA NEET Result Download 2025
The National Testing Agency will soon declare NEET UG results, which will be published as NTA scorecards, mentioning candidates’ qualifying status, marks, all-India ranks, etc.
The agency will also announce the names of toppers, category-wise cut-off scores, and results. Candidates who took the UG medical entrance exam can check their results using their login details.
- Students need to visit the official website of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate, neet.nta.nic.in in your device web browser.
- Once you reach the official NEET website, click on the link for NEET UG result on the home page.
- After clicking on that link, a result-checking web page will appear. Enter your login credentials and click on the submit button.
- After clicking on the submit button, your scorecard will appear on your device’s screen. Download it and print it out for further reference.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Result has been prepared based on the information provided by the candidates in their online application form.
- The information submitted by candidates is subject to verification by admitting authorities.
- Candidates who are found submitting incorrect information will be considered to be using unfair practices, and their candidature will be cancelled at any stage.
- If two or more candidates obtain equal marks in NEET (UG) 2025, the inter-se-merit of such candidates has been determined as per Rule 2 of Chapter-6 of the Information Bulletin of NEET (UG) 2025.
- NTA has declared only All India Rank and All India Quota Rank.
- Candidates may apply to the designated Counselling Authorities as per their eligibility.
- NTA has no role to play in it.
- Details of the various Counselling Authorities are given in Appendix IV of the Information Bulletin.
- The respective websites may also confirm the same.
- NTA is not responsible for the change of any of the addresses, though care has been taken to provide the correct addresses.
- Counselling Authorities will invite applications from the successful candidates and prepare their own merit list based on the All-India Rank as per their rules.
- In the NEET result, the category of the candidates is according to the details submitted by them in the online form. These have been used to prepare the Merit List for 15 % All India Quota seats.
- If a candidate’s category falls under any other category in the State Category List, candidates may apply to designated Counseling Authorities with their category as per the State Category List, and designated Counseling Authorities will verify the same.
- The same is the case with domicile. Domicile will be governed by respective admitting authority rules.
- NTA will not change any details of the candidates after the declaration of the result.
- All candidates are advised to contact the counselling authorities’ websites for updates.
- Qualified Candidates having Benchmark Disabilities may refer to Chapter 3 { 5 (a-iv)} of the Information Bulletin.
- Qualifying in NEET (UG) 2025 does not confer any right for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges.
- Selection of qualified candidates in NEET (UG) 2025 for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges is subject to merit position and satisfying the admission criteria as laid down in the rules of Central Government/State Government/Universities/Institutions concerned.
Note:
- Percentile Scores are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination.
- The Percentile scores of a Candidate have been calculated as follows: 1 0 0 X Number of candidates who appeared in the examination with raw score LESS than the candidate Total number of the candidates appeared in the examination
- The Percentile Score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained.
- Total Percentile Score is NOT an aggregate or average of the Percentile Scores of individual subjects.
NTA NEET UG 2025 Admission and Reservation:
An All India Merit List of the qualified candidates shall be prepared based on All India Rank in the Merit List of the NEET (UG) 2025 and candidates shall be admitted to MBBS/BDS Courses from the said list only by following the already existing reservation policy
NTA will provide All India Rank. Admitting Authorities will invite applications for counselling and merit list shall be drawn based on All India Rank by the admitting authorities. Admission to MBBS/BDS Courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on All India Rank as per the NEET (UG) 2025 merit list.
Reservation of seats in government medical colleges under 15% All India Quota:
- 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates.
- 7.5% of seats are reserved for ST candidates
- 27% of seats in Central Educational Institutions are reserved for OBC candidates only as per the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in 15 Admissions) Act, 2006.
Note: Reservation would apply to the castes mentioned in the Central list of OBC. Thus, candidates from this list may mention OBC in the Category Column in the application form.

How do you calculate NEET scores?
As per the marking scheme, four marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates should refer to the NEET answer key 2025 and count all the correct and wrong answers and calculate their overall marks as per the marking scheme. Here are the steps to calculate expected scores.
- Download the NEET answer key for a particular question paper code
- Count the number of correct and incorrect answers
- As per the marking scheme, multiply the total correct answers by four and total wrong answers by 1
- Now, subtract the total wrong attempts from the total correct answers to get the NEET expected score

NEET 2022 cut-off:
After calculating the probable scores, aspirants can refer to the NEET cut-off percentile and marks needed to pass the entrance exam.
The cut off percentile remains the same every year, while the corresponding marks change. Check the NEET-UG cut-off percentile and previous year marks to get an idea of qualifying the medical entrance exam.
