After summer vacation, all junior colleges will reopen for second year intermediate students from June 1st, 2026.
Classwork for intermediate first year students meanwhile will begin from June 1. As per the academic calendar for 2026-25 issued by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education, there will be 221 working days for junior colleges.
Students will have Dasara holidays from October 2 to 9 and half-yearly exams are scheduled to be held from November 21 to 26.
The Sankranti vacation is from 11-01-2026 to 16-01-2026 while pre-final exams are from 20-01-2026 to 25-01-20265. The practical exams are from February 1st week, 2025 and theory exams from March 1st week, 2025.

Telangana Junior colleges Reopening Day after Dasara holidays
After Dasara vacation (06-10-2026 to 13-10-2026), junior colleges in the State will reopen on 14-10-2026. The Board of Intermediate Education had declared holidays from 06-10-2026 to 13-10-2026. Telangana junior colleges will resume classes from October 14.
Students have been asked to clear pending hostel/mess dues from the last semester to renew the hostel admissions.
