BSE Telangana has released the TG NMMS Exam date 2025 on its official website, bse.telangana.gov.in/, for the conduct of the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme Exam.
Candidates registered for the Telangana NMMS Exam can check details and download the Exam Date web note from the official web portal.
As per the web note, the Board of Secondary Education Telangana will conduct the TG NMMS Scholarship examination across the state in October.
The pattern of Examination is as follows: Mental Ability Test (MAT)—90 marks multiple-choice questions. Scholastic Ability Test (S.A.T)—90 marks covering sciences, mathematics, and social sciences of class VII and VIII. Each question carries one mark. Time is one minute for one question.
The qualifying percentage is as follows: The minimum qualifying marks for each paper will be 40%, and for SC/ST students, this cutoff will be 32%.
Selection will be made based on merit, subject to district- and community-wise quotas allotted according to norms issued by MHRD New Delhi.

How to Download TG NMMS Scholarship Exam Date PDF 2025?
BSE Telangana has released the Telangana NMMS Examination date on its official website, https://bse.telangana.gov.in. Students who have registered for the Telangana NMMS Scholarship Examination can check the details and download the exam date web note PDF from the web portal to appear in the examination.
- Candidates can visit the official website of BSE Telangana, https://bse.telangana.gov.in/, on your device browser.
- Once you reach the official website, click on the ‘NMMS’ Button, which is displayed at the bottom left under the ‘NTSE & NMMS’ Section of the web page (rounded in red).
- After clicking on the NMMS link, you will be redirected to a new web page. Now, click on the NMMS Exam Date PDF link, and you will be opened to a new web page.
- After clicking on the PDF link, Check the examination details and instructions. Follow the instructions on the examination day.
- After checking the exam date, Click on the hall ticket once it is released on the web page.
- Open the hall ticket and check its details. Take the printout. That’s all.
Each state/UT conducts its test to select students for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship award. The State Level Examination consists of the following two tests. (i) Mental Ability Test (MAT) (ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
The Scheme’s objective is to award scholarships to meritorious students from economically weaker sections to arrest their dropout rate in class VIII and encourage them to continue their studies at the secondary level.
One lakh scholarships @ Rs.12000/- per annum (Rs.1000/- per month) are awarded to selected students of class IX every year and their continuation/renewal in classes X to XII for study in State Government, Government-aided and Local body schools under the scheme.
There is quota of scholarships for different States/UTs. Students of NVS, KVS, Sainik schools and private schools are not entitled to the scholarships.
The State Bank of India disburses scholarships on a quality basis directly by electronic transfer into students’ accounts through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
Students whose parental income from all sources is not more than Rs. 3,50,000/—per annum are eligible to apply for the scholarships.
There is reservation as per State Government norms. The selection of students for award of scholarships under the scheme is made through an examination conducted by the State Governments.
The students shall have a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in the Class VII examination to appear in the selection test for the award of a scholarship (Relaxable by 5% for SC/ST).
At the time of selection for the award of scholarship the candidate must have scored at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class VIII examination. There will be a 5% relaxation for SC/ST.
