The Schemes were introduced in the name of TS Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scheme to SC and ST Students, TS Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme to Minorities and TS Mahatma Jyothiba Phule BC Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scheme to BC/EBC Students.

TS Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities will help Minority students pursue higher education in foreign universities. Under the Minority Development Department, assistance of Rs.20 lakhs will be sanctioned to meritorious students.

Financial Assurance for All Sections
As part of implementing the SC/ST sub-plan, the Ambedkar Overseas Vidyanidhi scheme has been introduced for SC and ST students.
The TOEFL score is 80, IELTS 6.5, GRE 280, and GMAT 550. The ‘Overseas Study Scheme for Minorities’ is applied to minority students.
It was later renamed the Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities. In 2016, Mahatma Jyothibapule introduced the BC Overseas Vidyanidhi Scheme for BCs.
A lump sum of Rs.20 lakh scholarship was applied. In 2017, in addition to Rs.20 lakh, a flight ticket cost Rs.50000. GO was issued to pay the visa charges. In addition to PG courses, PhD courses are also offered.
Opportunity for ten countries: The government issued GO on November 9, 2017, making changes in the SC, ST, BC, Minority Overseas Education Scheme.
Raised the income limit from Rs.2 lakh to Rs.3 lakh. Until then, studying only in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada and Singapore was possible.
In addition, permission was granted to travel to Germany, New Zealand, Japan, France and South Korea and reduced the TOEFL score to 60, IELTS 6.0, GRE 260 and GMAT 500.

- Allocation of seats to BC students shall follow both Reservation and Merit
- (i) 5% of the Target for BCs reserved for EBCs.
