General guidelines have been issued by the Telangana SCERT for implementing TS School Alternative Academic Calendar for 8 weeks. Teachers are advised to call up the parents of the students to apprise them about the conduct of the suggested activities. In case Internet is not available at a student’s home, then teachers can explain to the students/ parents about each activity over the phone, through SMS and Voice Recorded messages.
Teacher must continuously ensure that the activity has been conducted, through a follow-up later. In case of availability of Internet and active Social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, Google Hangout, Google Mail, Telegram, the teacher can forward the guidelines to parents or even students with a brief explanation.
Teachers should stress the point that learner should not in any way be forced to do the activities. Rather, the parents should create an atmosphere conducive to learning, for instance by telling a story or saying “let us play a game” Parents must also make efforts to participate in all these activities along with the learner.
The activities mentioned are suggestive and can be modified based on the availability of the resources and the prior knowledge of the student. Level wise Bridge Course Programme is initiated for the first 4 weeks to mitigate the learning gap among the students due closure of schools and from there class wise bridging the gap for 5th and 6th weeks followed by teaching of current year syllabus.

The activities require observant and active questioning on the part of teacher/parent as the student is progressing in the activity. Clear and sufficient verbal and visual instructions are to be given by teachers/parents so that all learners, including Learners with Special needs, are able to follow the activities suggested. Before the teacher begins explaining these activities, he/she must guide/explain to parents / guardians and learners the reasons for and the merits of using this calendar.

Academic Calendar CCE Implementation Guidelines, Rc.405 CCE and Academic Calendar implementation Instructions for All Telangana TS Schools: SCERT, Telangana, Hyderabad has given the Proceedings Rc.no.405 on August 3rd, 2015 for Implementation of Academic Calendar 2015 and Curricular, Co-Curricular Activities and in this regard certain guideline and instructions have been issued on above said subject.
In this subject, a Video conference has been conducted by the Director of School Education with all the Headmasters High Schools, all the ME0s, CRPs, DLMTs, Dy.E0s, POs of SSA, DPO staff, DEOs on 3rd August 2015 (Monday) 02.00 to 05.30 PM at Mandal and District Level and they have discussed the Academic Calendar 2015-16 and academic programmes/ issues i.e.,
1. Academic calendar: The distribution of syllabus for both curricular and co-curricular activities have been developed in this calendar and
2. Implementation of curriculum,
3. Implementation of CCE in all schools,
4. Academic monitoring of schools
5. Academic Programmes/Issues
6. School Academic activities

In this regard, the number of periods and distribution of timings in the school time table has been given.
The School Education Department, Telangana Government has given time to time clarifications in Telugu and English on implementation of the academic calendar, other issues and Recently, Certain guidelines and instructions have been issued in Telugu on implementation of Academic programmes in Telangana Schools.
