NTSE 2023 or NTSE Scholarship 2023 notification will be released by the National Council of Educational and Research Training on its official website, https://ncert.nic.in/. NTSE means National Talent Search Examination which will be conducted every year at by NCERT every year for 10th class students across India.

NTSE will be conducted in Two levels. The First level NTSE examination will be conducted at State Level by concerned State Education Board as per the Schedule. State level examination is called as Stage 1 NTSE Examination, it will be conducted by Class 10 board.

The Second level NTSE Examination will be conducted at National level by the NCERT as per the schedule. National level examination is called as Stage 2 NTSE Examination. NTSE is a scholarship exam which is conducted every by NCERT. The scholarship is awarded to those students who wish to pursue their education in the fields of Science and Social Sciences till a doctoral level i.e., PhD.

The NTSE scholarship under the National Talent Search Scheme (NTSS) awarded to the candidates for pursuing courses in science and social science up to doctoral level and in professional courses like medicine and engineering up to second-degree level subject to the fulfillment of the conditions provided in this brochure.

The National Talent Search Exam will be conducted under the NTS scheme, which is a centrally funded scheme. As on date, 2000 scholarships are awarded in the country with reservation of 15 percent for SC, 7.5 percent for ST and 27 percent for other backward classes and 4 percent for a group of students with benchmark disabilities.

The National Talent Search Scheme is a central sector scheme fully funded by Ministry of Education (MOE) Government of India (Gol). NCERT is an implementing agency for NTS scheme.

The NTS scholarship is also awarded to those students who wish to pursue professional and technical courses such as Medicine, Technology, Management, Engineering or Law till a second-degree level – postgraduation. NTSE is conducted for students who are in Class 10 and are Indian Nationals.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) will renew the National Talent Search Scheme as per the government. The scholarship under the National Talent Search Scheme is a coveted one with lakhs of applicants sitting for the state-level exam every year. About 5000 candidates sit for the national-level exam. The scholarship continues from Class 10 (Rs 1,200 per month) up to PhD level (as per UGC norms).

    The selection for this NTSE scholarship is a two tier process with the states and union territories conducting the first-tier screening examination to select and recommend a number of candidates for the national level examination to be conducted by NCERT.

    Currently, NTS Scheme is open to the students who are presently studying in Class X.

    No. NTSS is available for only 10th class students.
