The Government of Andhra Pradesh has unleashed a new era in school education by introducing extensive curricular reforms from the academic year 2020-21. The Government has taken up curricular reforms intending to enhance the learning outcomes of the children with focus on building solid foundational learning and to build up an environment conducive for an effective teaching-learning process.
To achieve this objective, special care has been taken in designing the textbooks to achieve global standards. The handbook ‘MATHS MAGIC’ – Mathematics has been developed, taking into consideration the learning outcomes specified by the NCERT and SCERT. In consonance with the above, qualitative changes have been incorporated to make a rational young citizen.
The present handbook is designed in a teacher and child friendly way and sufficient care has been taken to reflect the social and cultural background of the children. The teachers are requested to accommodate children’s experiences in the learning process to make children more involved in the process.
The best practices across the State and different Countries were studied and incorporated in the textbooks to prepare our children as a global citizen. This handbook, hopefully, will supplement the gaps while transacting the contents in the newly revised text books to the young minds.
