Preparation for Entrance Test:
Most of the MPC students write the JEE Main in January. Some people prepares for emcet.
Students entering the JEE Main and Advanced Exams should not give any break in their studies. If given, it will be difficult to continue the test and win the test. Preparations should be continued as the test is scheduled .
That means the study plan should be prepared in 20-25 days. Make time for maths, physics and chemistry every day and keep up with prep. Preparation should continue based on textbooks, college material and old JEE questionnaires.
Do not slip into new items at this time. You have to read again. That means revision. Must write a mock test for 2-3 days at regular interval.
For this, online, Previous Years Papers – Full Papers should be salvaged. Then analyze the questions in the paper based on the score and then re-read the questions related to the mistake.
Students need a timetable follow-up each day. Do not pause to read that the exam has been broken and the country has a lockdown. Every morning, between 4-6 am, a sequence should be read according to the timetable.
Take a break every hour or two during reading and start reading again after ten / fifteen minutes. Meditation is necessary if students do not exercise or do yoga daily. Physical and mental fitness are very important.
Students should stay away from corona or other breaking news. These things are looked after by adults. You should not meditate on anything but the test itself. One hundred percent concentration on JEE Main / Advanced will be easy to win whenever the test is done.
The requirement of papers for different courses is given in the table below:
1. All other undergraduate courses (B.E. /B. Tech.) Paper-1
2. B.Arch /B. Planning (at institutions other than IITs) Paper-2
JEE Main Eligibility
Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing in the JEE (Main) examination. Candidates who have passed XII examination or are appearing irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) examination.
Candidates should also ensure that they meet the age limit requirements of the Institutes in which they are desirous of taking admission.
While there may be no flip side to appearing for the February examination again for students who are placed in the 90 percentile and above bracket, that may not be the real case.
Students have to carefully examine their score and assess their performance. Remember that the candidates would qualify for the JEE Advanced based on their JEE Main Rank. A few things to consider before you decide.
The better of the two scores – JEE Main January or JEE Main February exam would be considered should a student choose to appear in both the examination. JEE Main Rank would be considered based on the total NTA score. In case there is a tie, the higher JEE Main Rank would be given to
- Students who score a higher score in Mathematics
- Students who score higher in Physics
- Students who score higher in Chemistry
- Age (Elder student gets precedence)
In case two candidates tally in all the above parameters, same JEE Main rank would be allotted to the students. To decide hence, it would be prudent to assess the raw score from the answer keys that you have scored in the examination and assess if you can improve that score.
JEE Main February exam or second attempt applications would open next month. Experts suggest that the students who have scored a raw score of about 250 and above and are ranking above 85 percentile may not worry about appearing for the exam in April.
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) the NTA will conduct MAIN from onwards. JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs participating through the Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.E./B.Tech. & B. Arch./B. Planning Courses in NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs is as under:- Required Criteria based on Class 12th / Equivalent qualifying Examination.
a. B.E/B.TECH Course: Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
