JEE Main Exam dates 2024, Allotment and shifts details released. NTA to release Allotment of Exam Dates & Shift details @ jeemain.nic.in.
National Testing Agency, NTA would be releasing the allotment of exam dates and shift for JEE Mains. The candidates who have applied for JEE Main January Examination would be able to login to their accounts on the official website jeemain.nic.in to check the exam date and city allotted to them.
The information regarding the exam city allotted to candidates would be released only on the website. As per the notification released on the official website, the exam date and shift allotted would be released. JEE Main city allotment details would be released and admit cards would be released in December.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the JEE Main Examination dates. As per the notification released on the official website of the exam – jeemain.nic.in – the examination for JEE Main II will be conducted in January and April.

There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main. Candidates who have passed the class 12/equivalent examination in 2021, 2022 or appearing in 2024 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE Main examination. However, the candidates may be required to fulfill the age criteria of institute(s) in which they want to take admission.

JEE Mains dates are available on the official website, students can check the schedule there as well. The dates shared above are taken from the official notification.
Also, Ministry of Education officials had earlier confirmed that JEE Main 2024 would be conducted only twice – as per the pre-pandemic model.
The examination would be conducted in two session spread over multiple shifts. Students have the option of appearing for either or both of the examination. Best of the two (in case students chose to appear for both) would be considered for the final result.

The first phase examination will be conducted as per the schedule and the admit card is available to download from the web portal. Moreover, if a student appears for the JEE (Main) and NEET twice, the best of his/ her two scores will be taken into account.
Clearing the JEE mains and advanced papers will make candidates eligible for admission to Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) courses at Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) across India.

How to check the JEE Main Exam Dates & Shift details?
Joint Entrance Examination notification is released by the NTA on its JEE Main web portal, https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/. National Testing Agency will conduct JEE Mains in two sessions- First session will be conducted in April 2024 and the second session will be held in May 2024. Candidates can apply for JEE Mains 2024 on the official website. All interested are advised to keep a check on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in for more updates.

The NTA will organize the JEE Main Exam twice in a year: JEE (Main) and NEET twice, the best of his/ her two scores will be taken into account. JEE Main I in January and JEE Main II in April.
Qualifying JEE Main will open the gateways to NITs, IITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs across the country for Undergraduate programmes like Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch).
Candidates must note that it is optional for candidates to appear for JEE Main I and /or JEE Main II, as if a candidate chooses to appear for both the exams then the best score will be considered during the admission process.
JEE Main Exam Eligibility criteria
A score of at least 75 per cent in Class 12 board exams or a place among the top 20 percentile of the Boards is required to be eligible for JEE main or advanced. For candidates of the SC and ST categories, this has been lowered to 65 per cent.
