Students will appear in JEE Main 1 and JEE Main 2, in order to give a clear view to the aspirants, the Union Human Resource Development Ministry has officially released the final schedule for the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main) examination.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the JEE Main Examination dates. As per the notification released on the official website of the exam, jeemain.nic.in – the examination for JEE Main will be conducted between June 20 to 29 and July 21 to 30.

National Test Agency, NTA has released the notification for Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main January examination. Students interested in applying for admissions to undergraduate B.Tech, BE and B.Arch courses are required to fill the JEE Main 2020 online application.

Please note, the online application forms would begin soon. However, a short notification has been released on the official website nta.ac.in summarizing the process of applying for JEE Main, where to apply and important points like eligibility etc. Online applications would be available on both nta.ac.in and jeemain.nic.in.

For admission to B.Arch courses, the students would have to appear for Paper 2. Paper 2 would have three parts, Part I, II and III where Part I is Mathematics, Part II is Aptitude Test and Part III would be Drawing Test. Please note, Part I and II of Paper II would be a Computer Based Test and Part III would be a pen and paper based drawing test.

Paper I would be conducted on 8 days in two shifts on each day. Students have the option of selecting either of the days to appear for the examination. Paper II, however, would be conducted only in one shift. Read the official notification for JEE Main.

As announced earlier, JEE Main would be conducted twice – once in January and once in April. Students can appear for either of the two or both the JEE Main examinations.

In case the students choose to appear for both, the Better of the two scores of JEE Main Result would be considered for qualifier for JEE Advanced as well as for JEE Main final rank.

And last but not the least, students would be able to fill the JEE Main online application forms on both nta.ac.in and jeemain.nic.in.

The detailed notification would be released on both the websites and would be available from tomorrow. JEE Main January Exam registrations and online application forms begin as per its schedule.

Earlier, the exam was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), but, now, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Main from 2020 onwards.

It was earlier decided by the ministry to conduct the national level exam twice a year. The candidates can also check the official website of JEE Main, www.nta.ac.in.

How to download the JEE Main Schedule 2024? 

JEE MAIN: The Joint Entrance Exam is conducted every year for candidates seeking admissions in Under Graduate Engineering programmes in the prestigious IITs, NITs, IIITs and various other CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions) across the country.

Eligibility criteria

The applicant must score at least 75 per cent in class 12 board exams or a place among the top 20 percentile of the Boards. The candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories must score at least 65 per cent of marks.

It is only after Clearing the JEE main and advanced papers that applicants will be eligible for the admission in Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) courses at Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) across India.
