Candidates appearing for the Joint entrance examination can check the details and download the JEE Main Examination Admit Card 2025 from the website by login details.
Candidates are advised to download admit cards from the JEE Main web portal only after logging in with their application ID, date of birth, and security pin. NTA is scheduled to organize the JEE Mains Examination across the country.
JEE Main exam will be conducted for candidates seeking admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).

What is JEE Main Admit Card?
JEE Main Admit Card is a hall ticket that is issued to candidates who have successfully registered for the JEE Main Exam.

The admit card with information regarding the exam center and the JEE Main roll number will be released on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in. Aspirants will find their roll number and details of the examination centre on the JEE Main hall ticket 2025.
The admit card contains important details such as the exam centre, time, name, date of birth, gender, state code of eligibility, and category.
If there is any discrepancy, please communicate it to the JEE (Main) Secretariat/ CBSE immediately for necessary action. Students must reach the examination venue at least two and a half hours before the start of the examination.
In addition to the admit card, NTA also releases a self declaration form due to COVID. Students are required to take a print out of the same and fill it. The completed declaration form, along with the admit card, must be carried to the exam centre by the candidates.

When Will JEE Main Admit Card 2025 be Released?
The JEE Main Admit Card 2025 will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the third week of February 2025.
Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of the NTA by logging in with their registration number and date of birth.

- Students need to visit the official website, nta.nic.in in your device browser.
- Once you reach the official website, click on the JEE Main link on the home page.
- Then, Joint Entrance Examination Main Official website, would be opened in your device.
- On the JEE Main home page, Click on the ‘Download admit card’ link. The admit card downloading web page will then appear on your device.
- Once you reach the admit card downloading web page, enter your application number, password, and security pin in the provided fields, then Click on the login button.
- After clicking on the login button, your admit card will be displayed on the screen. Download it and print it out for future reference.
Documents Required Along with JEE Main Admit Card 2025
Candidates need to carry the following documents along with the JEE Main Admit Card 2025 to the exam center:
- A valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving License, or Passport)
- A passport-sized photograph
- The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) on the above-mentioned dates.

Students who have registered for the JEE Main examination are advised to check the official website. The advance exam city intimation is also expected to be released first, and then the admit cards will be released.
The admit card, along with the advisory, will print all the important information regarding the exam, including the roll number, exam date and schedule, exam centre, etc.

Web Note by NTA: Advance Intimation for Allotment of Examination City to the Applicants of JEE Main 2025 Session 2. NTA is conducting the JEE Main Session 2 at different Centres located in 501 cities throughout the country and 22 Cities in Outside India.
Candidates are required to check/ download their Examination City Intimation slip of JEE Main Session 2 using their Application No. and Date of Birth from the website and go through the instructions contained therein as well as in the Information Bulletin.
The Candidates may please note that this is NOT the Admit Card for JEE Main 2025 Session 2. This is advance information for the allotment of the City where the Examination Centre will be located, to facilitate the candidates. The Admit Card of JEE Main 2025 Session 2 shall be issued later.
The National Testing Agency, or NTA, will soon release the Joint Entrance Examination, or JEE Main, admit card. Once released, candidates can download their JEE Main examination admit card from the official websites, nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Candidates must visit the official website to download their Admit Cards as soon as NTA uploads them. A help desk will also be set up, and Candidates can call it from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
JEE Main is being conducted twice a year by the NTA. The examination is completely in computer-based test mode and being conducted across multiple slots.
The final score would be normalized. For candidates appearing in both the January and April examinations, the better of the two NTA scores would be considered for the Final Ranking, which will be released soon on its web portal.
JEE Main Exam pattern 2025
The exam lasts three hours, and the questions are from mathematics, physics, and chemistry, based on CBSE’s class 11 and class 12 syllabuses.
A total of 30 questions from each subject will be given. Each correct answer carries 4 marks, whereas each incorrect answer carries -1 mark.
Paper 1 of JEE Main will be held online or offline. A candidate can opt for either. It will include questions from chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
A total of 90 objective-type questions will be asked, with equal weightage for all subjects. Each correct question will carry 4 marks, and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
Paper-2 of JEE Main will be conducted for admission to undergraduate architecture courses and the test will be offline only.
JEE Main Paper 2 consists of three parts: mathematics, aptitude test, and drawing test. It carries a total of 50 questions for the aptitude test, 2 questions for the drawing test, and 30 questions from mathematics. The exam duration is three hours, and the marking scheme is the same as paper 1.
JEE Main Exam Day Guidelines:
Due to the COVID-19 situation, the exam conducting authorities will take a lot of time and precautions, which will lead to more time being consumed in security checks and sanitization. Therefore, the candidates are advised to come at least an hour early to the centre.
According to NTA Director Vineet Joshi, candidates will be allotted different slots to arrive at the centres. The candidates should follow these allotted slots, and they should arrive only at their designated time to make the entry process smoother.
The candidates must show their admit card along with identity proof at the centre. No other items will be allowed inside the exam centre.
No bags will be allowed inside the examination hall. Candidates should maintain social distancing and immediately take their designated seats after entering the exam hall.
For Paper 2, the candidates can take their geometry box, colored pencils, and crayons. However, they will not be allowed to use watercolour.
Candidates will receive blank paper and a pen/pencil for rough work. However, the paper must be returned to the invigilators after the exam is over.
The candidate’s name and roll number should also be written on the top of the rough paper. During attendance, candidates should make sure that their signatures and photos are properly attached. The thumb impression should not be smudged.
Parents/guardians will also be required to follow some guidelines, which NTA will officially announce. Let’s take a look at some of the obvious ones. Parents/guardians are requested not to come to the exam centre with the candidates unless and until they have to.
If they do need to come to the exam centre, they are requested to drop the candidates off and leave the premises immediately. Barricades will be put up at the centres, and the parents/guardians are expected to follow the guidelines. Overcrowding will not be allowed at the centres.
Diabetic candidates can carry eatables like sugar tablets, fruits (banana/apple/orange), and transparent water bottles. However, packed foods like chocolate/candy/ sandwich will not be allowed inside the examination hall
What information does the JEE Main admit card contain?
The admit card contains important information about the candidate, such as:
- Roll number: This is the unique identification number assigned to each candidate.
- Exam date and time: The date and time of the JEE Main exam.
- Venue: The location of the exam center.
- Instructions: Candidates must read the instructions carefully before appearing for the exam.

Important Instructions
Students are reminded that the exact date and shift timings allotted to them have been made available on the official website jeemain.nic.in. In case they have not checked the same, they are advised to do so now.
While the exam date, shift, and city information have been released, the examination centre information will only be made available on the admit cards when it is released.
Applications of candidates whose photographs did not have the mandated name and date are also accepted as a special consideration. All such students are also advised to download their admit cards from the website jeemain.nic.in.
NTA may or may not send the notification regarding the release of the admit cards to your registered mail ID. Candidates and their parents are hence advised to check the official website jeemain.nic.in for any updates and news.
Once released, students and their parents are advised to download the admit cards at the earliest to check the examination centre allotted to them.
They are advised to save a copy of the admit card and also take a print out. Instructions regarding the examination would be available on the admit cards.
JEE Main would be a completely computer-based test and conducted in January and April. Students can appear for either or both of the examinations.
If students opt to appear for both January and April sessions, the better of the two scores will be considered for the JEE Main ranking. Results for the JEE Main Examinations will be released in the same month.

- It is important to know your distractions and strictly ignore them in order to stay efficient and concentrated. Distractions are your biggest enemy and a barrier to your preparation.
- Self-evaluation is the key to overcoming weaknesses. Making an error log will help you figure out your strengths and weaknesses. If you know your weaknesses, you will be able to put extra effort into them.
