CTET Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for CTET 2026, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

a) For CTET Paper I Eligibility: Candidates must have passed their 12th class or equivalent with at least 50% marks and should have completed or be pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), or a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

b) For CTET Paper II Eligibility: Candidates must have completed their graduation with at least 50% marks and should have completed or be pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) or

A 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), or a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Candidates can apply online only. Candidates are required to take a printout of the Computer-generated Confirmation Page after successful submission of data, which has to be sent to CBSE, CTET Unit after affixing a passport-size photograph and signature in the space provided, and also with an original CBSE copy of challan (if fees paid through Challan)
