UGC support for single girl Child

PG Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship: Are you girls? Are you the only child of the parents? Are you currently studying PG first year course? But the Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarships are ready just for you. Those who are selected for these will get Rs.36,200 per year in PG for two years. Those who are eligible and interested can apply for these. Recipients of this incentive are eligible for other scholarships.

Now in most states the number of boys seems to be higher than the number of girls. Also, women make up less of the enrollment in higher education. Many students drop out of higher education despite their interest due to their parents’ perspective, social status, family background, etc.

Many families fail to recognize women as part of development. Most people want to get married and fulfill their responsibilities when it comes to marriage. As a result, the number of women joining PG is declining significantly. The ‘Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship’ was designed to change this situation. The UGC aims to help students become financially viable, encourage them to study and increase the number of PG women.

  • Those studying MA, MSc, M.Com courses can apply.
  • Those who have studied professional courses like MBA, MCA, MTech will not have the opportunity.
  • Those pursuing PG courses in distance education are ineligible for the scholarship.
