Now in most states the number of boys seems to be higher than the number of girls. Also, women make up less of the enrollment in higher education. Many students drop out of higher education despite their interest due to their parents’ perspective, social status, family background, etc.

Many families fail to recognize women as part of development. Most people want to get married and fulfill their responsibilities when it comes to marriage. As a result, the number of women joining PG is declining significantly.

The ‘Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship’ was designed to change this situation. The UGC aims to help students become financially viable, encourage them to study and increase the number of PG women.
