Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students

This scholarship is meant for underprivileged students of OBC category who are domiciles of Uttar Pradesh.

The students studying in Class 9 and 10 can avail benefits under this scholarship if their annual family income is less than Rs 1 lakh (from all sources).

The key objective of this scholarship is to offer financial support to needy students and help them complete their matriculation.

Post Matric Scholarship for OBC Students

As the name suggests, OBC category students of Uttar Pradesh who are pursuing studies in Class 11 and 12 can avail benefits under this scheme. They must belong to a family whose annual income is less than Rs 2 lakh (from all sources).

Post Matric Scholarship for OBC

The students who are domiciles of Uttar Pradesh and belong to the OBC category can avail benefits under this scheme, if they are pursuing studies at graduation or higher level (including post graduation, PhD or postdoctoral level). The annual family income should be less than Rs 2 lakh from all sources.

Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC/Minority Students (Class 1 to 12)

This scholarship is given to those meritorious students who belong to the SC/ ST/ OBC and minority communities. They must be domiciles of Delhi and studying in Class 1 to 12 at a government/ aided/ recognised public school.

The annual family income should be less than Rs 2 lakh (from all sources). The amount of scholarship given to students majorly depends on the scores obtained by the students. However, there is no minimum marks criteria for SC/ ST/ Minorities students of class 1 to 8.

• Eligibility: SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority community students of Class 1 to 12
• Awards: Up to Rs 4,500 per annum

Reimbursement of Tuition Fee for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minorities, Delhi

This scholarship has been introduced to support students coming from financially weaker families who belong to the SC, ST, OBC or Minority communities.

They must be domiciles of Delhi and studying in Class 1 to 12 at a government recognised school. The annual family income should be less than Rs 2 lakh (from all sources). Also, they must not be recipients any other scholarship.

• Eligibility: Class 1 to 12 students
• Awards: Up to 100 per cent fee reimbursement

ONGC Foundation Scholarship Scheme for OBC category students

Awarded to 500 deserving students every year, this scholarship scheme aims to provide financial support to meritorious students belonging to the marginalised sections of the society.

The OBC category students who are in the first year of Engineering/ MBBS/ MBA or Master’s in Geology/ Geophysics programme can apply for this scholarship. They must have obtained at least 60 per cent marks or 6.0 CGPA in the last qualifying examination.

The age of the candidates should be less than 30 years, as on the last date of application. Also, the gross family income should be less than Rs 2 lakh per annum from all sources.

• Eligibility: Engineering/ MBBS/ MBA or Master’s Degree in Geology/ Geophysics students
• Awards: Rs 48,000 per annum
• Application Mode: Online, through the official website of ONGC Foundation
• Application Timeline: Between February and March (tentative).

Steps to complete the OBC Scholarship Registration 2025

All the OBC students are aware of the scholarships that are available on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP portal) and students fulfil the eligibility conditions specified, students can apply for them online. The given steps to be followed for making a successful application on the portal.

• Students need to visit the official website of the NSP portal, https://scholarships.gov.in in your device browser.
• Once you reach the official website, you click on the New User Registration link on the home page.
• Applicant should read and understood the guidelines for registration. After tick on the radio buttons, you can click on the Click on the Continue button.
• After clicking on that link, a Fresh Registration form would be opened.
• Now, Select the Pre Matric for class 1 to 10 OR Select the Post Matric / MC/ Top Class for Class 11, 12, UG, PG etc., from the Scholarship Category and Select Scholarship Scheme if you want to apply for Scholarships OR Select Incentive Scheme if you want to apply for any incentive scheme and fill the form with required information and click on the register button.
• After completion of new registration process, student will get a unique application ID and password through SMS on the provided (registered) mobile number.
• Now, you can click on the Login to Apply link on the home page. Then, Login for Fresh Application web page will appear in your device.
• In the login web page, student shall login to NSP using application ID and password which were received at the time of registration process and click on the login button.
• Here, the OBC student must change the password upon first login. This password has to be kept safely and confidentially.
• The OBC student can change the mobile number only before the first login, i.e. before changing the received password.
• After clicking on the login button, an applicant dashboard will open. Now, click on the ‘Application Form’ to proceed with the scholarship application.
• After clicking on the application form link, application form web page will appear. The Application Form is divided into three Parts, i.e., Registration Details, Academic Details, Basic Details.
• OBC Student should fill in all required details in the application form and Upload all supporting documents with the application form. Finally, click on the ‘Final Submit’ button.
• After clicking on the submit button, your application will be submitted successfully. Now, print and save application form further reference.
