AP Government Jobs 2025 Recruitment: The much-awaited notification to fill over 20,000 direct recruitment posts will be issued once Chief Minister gives his clearance.
The decision to fill 20,250 posts in various departments was approved by the State Cabinet and a major chunk 9,000 will be in the Home Department, sources said.
The AP Public Service Commission will do the recruitment and the Police Recruitment Board will fill posts of constables, sub-inspectors, Armed Reserve constables, etc.

AP Government JOBs 2025: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister released the recruitment calendar for 2025-22. The AP government is planning to fill up a total of 10, 143 vacancies. The recruitment will be done for various categories.
As many as 1,238 vacancies will be filled up for backlog vacancies SC, ST, and Differently Abled. APPSC Group I and Group II will have 36 vacancies. Police and Health (Doctors and Assistant Professors) will include 450, and 451 vacancies respectively.

The notification for APPSC Group I and II will be issued in August 2025 and Police in September 2025. The government will issue recruitment notifications for Health – Doctors and Assistant Professors in October 2025.
According to the recruitment calendar released by the government, Health – Paramedical (MLPHS), Pharmacists, Lab Tech offer the maximum number of vacancies i.e., 5,251 and the notification will be issued in November 2025.
AP government will fill up 441 Nurse vacancies and notification will be released in December 2025. The government has also announced the recruitment of 240 Lectures (Degree Colleges) and 2000 Assistant Professors (Universities) and the recruitment notice is expected to be out in January and February respectively. A total of 36 vacancies will be filled up through the recruitment drive and the notice will be out in March.

AP Govt Jobs Recruitment Govt Orders AP GO.39, Dated: 18-06-2025 details: Andhra Pradesh Government has given permission to the Recruiting Agencies for to Filling of vacant posts through Direct Recruitment. Human Resources are the most significant asset of the Government. Needless to say, a competent, trained and disciplined workforce is paramount for service delivery.
The Government has reviewed the current process of recruitment of the vacant sanctioned posts, and it is observed that, so far, recruitment was carried out in an ad-hoc manner and without definitive timelines for notifications of the posts and that there is a need to streamline the entire procedure.
Keeping in view of the above, the Hon’ble Chief Minister has directed the Finance Department to release an Annual Calendar for Recruitment, every year, regarding the posts to be filled up on regular, contract and outsourcing basis.
Accordingly, the Finance Department, after obtaining the data of direct recruitment vacancies, has identified the number of direct recruitment posts to be filled up on regular, contract and outsourcing basis, duly aligning the same with the priorities of the Government, and after consultation with Recruiting Agencies, has prepared the Recruitment Calendar for the year 2025-22.
The Annual Calendar for Recruitment will provide the following benefits: (a). Provide a degree of certainty amongst the aspiring Youth and Stakeholder Departments & the Recruitment Agencies. (b). Avoid the bunching of recruitment. (c). Ensure smooth career progression of the new employees.
In pursuance of the above, Government hereby permit the Department wise and Post-wise recruitment, as mentioned in Annexure-A to be taken up by the concerned Recruiting Agencies for 10,143 posts (Ten thousand one hundred and forty three), as per the Month wise Calendar of recruitment appended at Annexure-B.
The APPSC, APSLPRB and DSCs, & other Recruiting agencies are hereby permitted to take up the process of recruitment with reference to the posts mentioned in Annexure-A, after obtaining the confirmation of the vacancies from the respective Departments, duly following the procedure in vogue.
All the concerned administrative Departments and the Heads of Departments concerned shall furnish details of all vacant posts permitted in this order, including the zone/district wise vacancy position, roster points and qualifications, etc., to the respective Recruitment Agencies immediately.
