National Girl Child Day
The National Girl Child Day is celebrated on January 24. The National Girl Child Day is observed to mark the anniversary of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Scheme’ (save the girl child, educate the girl child) first launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, 2015.

AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls
Under AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls, students studying in their first year of a technical diploma or degree course at an AICTE-recognised institution will receive financial aid to continue their education. The application for this usually opens in September and closes in October.
PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship For Single Girl Child
Post Graduate Indira Gandhi scholarship for single girl child is introduced by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The scheme has been launched with the objective to meet the direct cost of girl child education at all levels especially for girls who are the only girl child in their family.
Under this scheme a fellowship of Rs 36,200 each year for a period of two years only for full duration of a PG course will be provided to candidates.
Girl students up to the age of 30 years are eligible to apply for PG Indira Gandhi scholarship for single girl child scheme on the official website. scholarships.gov.in till October 31.
CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship for Class 10
Central Board of Secondary Education has now started the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship.
Candidates who have passed the CBSE Class 10 exam and are single child of the family, those girl candidates can apply for the scholarship on cbse.gov.in.
The candidates who were awarded Single Girl Child scholarship X, the renewal scheme is also started and online applications for renewal of CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship X awarded in 2021.
Candidates are advised to register for the scholarship latest by November 14 as it is the last date. Once registered, fill in the forms and submit.
CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child
Under the Single Girl Child scholarship scheme, students will get Rs 500 per month. The monthly tuition fee must not exceed Rs 1,500 per month in Class 10 and 10 per cent enhancement in Class 11 and Class 12.
To be eligible for this, candidates should be the only child in the family. They should have cleared Class 10 with 60 per cent from a CBSE affiliated school, and should also be currently in Class 11 from the same school. The application is underway and will continue till October.
Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship
Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship offers financial assistance to minority community girl students studying in Class 9 to 12. Tuition fee assistance along with other benefits can be availed by the girl students enrolled in this scholarship.
The Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF) under the Ministry of Minority Affairs offers this scholarship. The application tentatively begins in September.
Under the Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship, eligible girl students studying in classes 9 and 10 get assistance of Rs 5,000 per month and for the class 11 and 12 students, it is Rs 6,000.
Women Scientist Scheme-B (WOS-B)
Women Scientist Scheme-B is a research grant provided by the Ministry of Science and Technology for female candidates seeking financial assistance in the field of science. According to the My Scheme website, the stipend for the PhD candidate will be Rs 55,000 per month, while for the MPhil is Rs 40,000 and MSc is Rs 31,000 per month.
The Department of Science and Technology offers this scholarship to encourage women scientists and technologists who are taking a break in their careers.
Application generally begins in February and women scientists/technologists between 27 and 57 years of age can apply.
